Angela K. Pitwood, BSN, RN, MBA presents DIA Webinar:  How to Prepare for A Safety Inspection

Conshohocken, PA - 20 June 2016 -  Angela Pitwood, Vice President, Pharmacovigilance presented a 3day, two-hour webinar for the Drug Information Association (DIA)for the 4th consecutive year.  Angela has been selected and is recognized as an industry expert in Pharmacovigilance with over 25 years in leadership with both pharmaceutical and CROs.  Angela offers expertise in all areas of strategic pharmacovigilance where she successfully developed and led multiple therapeutic area teams and support functions for the management of adverse event reporting for human health, including all phases of a product life (drugs, vaccines and devices).   Ms. Pitwood developed and led these activities using a combination model of in-house staff at three global locations – U.S., Europe and Asia and three off-shored safety operations vendor sites in the U.S. and Asia.

Every pharmacovigilance department will, at one time or another, undergo a government or health authority inspection as well as audits by vendors, partners, suppliers, internal auditors, and others.

Vigilare International Announces New Leadership: 

George S. Brenner, MBA, CPA joins Vigilare International as Vice President, Finance and Administration. 

RADNOR, PA –5 October 2015 – Vigilare International today announced that George S. Brenner, MBA, CPA has joined Vigilare International as Vice President, Finance and Administration. 

Mr. Brenner is a financial professional with over thirty years of experience in finance, accounting, drug, device and diagnostic development process management; budget and forecasting, financial statement preparation, financial analysis, cash management, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, administration, and project management responsibilities. He is a results-driven, decisive leader with proven success in strategic thinking and problem solving and a track record of realizing double digit revenue growth and operating margin for 10+ years. 

Mr. Brenner is a respected financial veteran with top-tier experience in contract research organizations (CROs). His responsibilities for Vigilare International include finance, accounting, legal, and business administration. Prior to joining Vigilare, George held positions as Senior Vice President Global Business Services at Numoda Corporation, Vice President, at United BioSource Corporation (UBC), Chief Financial Officer at RadPharm, Inc., Vice President, Finance and Administration at Covance – Periapproval Division, and Vice President of Finance for the Philadelphia Association for Clinical Trials (PACT), Director Corporate Audit and Control, Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, and Audit Supervisor with Deloitte and Touche. 

Mr. Brenner earned his B.S. degree in accounting as well as his MBA from LaSalle University.

Vigilare International Announces New Leadership

Kevin J. Flanagan to join Vigilare International as Vice President, Corporate Development

RADNOR, PA – 26 August 2015 – Vigilare International today announced that Kevin J. Flanagan will join Vigilare International as Vice President, Corporate Development.

Mr. Flanagan has over thirty years’ experience in the pharmaceutical contract services industry. He held senior executive positions in firms involved in the manufacturing, packaging and distribution of both clinical trial study supplies and commercial drug products. He founded National Packaging Systems which was acquired by Corning. He then served as GM of Covance’s Packaging Division.

After leaving Covance, he served in interim executive roles in corporate restructurings and in investment financing for early stage companies. Prior to joining Vigilare, he was the VP of Packaging for AAIPharma Services. He is a graduate of Villanova University.
